live here/there 59 years. like dad always said "just far enough out of florida but not to far inside alabama". like all said --- a lay-back, low crime area. not incorp. all shopping 12-15 miles. local - just general what-not stores/gas station. food store just across bridge (fla side). eats - 4 or 5 small places. we are getting a very nice pier/boat ramp park area. taxes - if you or your wife are disable (collect SSI) or you are over 65 -- you pay no property tax. you just have to file for it each year. school grades 1-8 in elberta (10 mile) , 9-12 foley (15 mile). elberta has a great meat market. 8 to 10 churches. now an A-Plus.... we have one gas station with - "100% gas". as to house ins - like most aresa - high - have to shop around for it. hope this helps. Poppy

Wirelessly posted

Guys when I say west side I dont mean perdido its fine w very little crime and u can pull all the records and c where all the bad crimes happen in Pensacola. I mean look along mobile hwy there is a prostitute on every corner and some on gulf beach hwy. So if u want to live near that that's up to y'all I'm just trying to give some friendly advice and don't mean to ruffle any feathers. And I do agree w poppy living across in Lillian or elbert and foley is very nice w little crime or even in pace.

myrtle grove is a decent little area on the "west side" of pensacola

warrington is mostly trash, along with brownsville (hood), living here fore 26 years and delivering in the area, get to know the locals......better suited to spend the extra $ and get a place in east/north hill

Jig, Mike's good with the hookers as long as they don't crap in his flower bed. Seriously we need to get Steve to cut a deal on that 40 acres over there, houses up front and shooting in the back.
