I also have a Sony in the bedroom and the Vizio walks the dog on it too. The salesmen told me that Sony lags in LCD tv's.

Is there some adjustment I could make or something ? I know that 48" is a better TV than that.
Might be settings , but I would check the input types to make sure you are comparing apples to apples. the 32" may only be 720p, but on a smaller screen may look better than 1080i on the 48". Also the 55 samsung might have a high quality hdmi cable with full hd digital service, while the 48" might be conneced with composite cables or non hd service.
May not be any of that , just saying there are a lot of variables, in addition to all the brands and sizes!

That may be "technically" true, but If you like fast moving movies, sports, or games, a higher refresh rate IS noticable.....lack of diagonal lines in fast paced video......some people will never notice it, but then some will.
The big difference comes when you want 3d, in which case you need 2x the refresh rate you would normally be comfortable with because your tv has to display a right and left frame 30 times per second (60 frames per second!)
I also got the Vizio 55 true-led 240hz, and LOVE it .....These tv's have a little "glow" to bright areas if viewed from extreme angles, but from a normal viewing angle blu-ray movies are out of this world! ...and the price could not be beat. The same features from another MFG ...if you could find them....were twice the price or more!
