9 days,8 nights in Costa Rica. DEFINITELY have 1 full day of BILL FISHING booked out of Tamarindo. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT!!!!!!!!!!! Already emailed the captain...we're going after a blue marlin first(w/ possiblity ofstripped & black marlin), sailfish, tuna (if we have time), dorado/wahoo (comes w/ pulling baits for bills), and I told him I want to catch one of those RoosterFish. They're a really cool looking fish!...I want a PIC w/ one bad.
Also, have a trip booked to go white water rafting (class IV rapids) and a rainforest canopy zip-line tour. Those should be adrenaline filled trips too. Going to one of the most active volcano in the world (Arenal)...staying there 2 nights...natural volcanic hot springs AT the resort. The rest of the time we'll be in a beach side bungalo(doin' the dirty). Several days planned with nothing to do but tying on a good BUZZZZ by the beach. Question, during our off days....(from anyone who's been before), what else should we do before leaving??? I want to experience everything Costa Rica has to offer! Thanks in advance! |

We went to Tamarindo in aug/06, stayed at the Tamarindo Diria did all what youhave planned except for the volcano, just didn't fit our time frame. We fished a boat called "Capullo" out of Tamarindo hooked 2 sails landed 1, 2 dolphins, 1 wahoo ( the resort cooked it for us for dinner that night)and a couple of bonitas. They treated us very well on the boat, we showed up they did every thing else, morning snack( watermelon, pineapple, canalope, etc.) lunch (sandwiches) afternoon snack (brownies) and all thebottled h2o, local beer, sodas you could drink.
We did the zip lines, had a blast. Went on a nature hike to one of the hot springs, went on a 2 tank dive, surfing at the resort. We also loaded up the van( 6 of us )got a map and took off. We would stop @ the local dives get a6 packand head out when it was gone we would stop again. Did the same for lunch. We had a good time, no problems with anything BA PS: They are right about the roads, they suck !!! |

Well, I was there with 2 other guys, so what all we did might not exactly be the things that you and your newlywed wife are looking to get into. ![]() |
