MCHunter (2/7/2008)Poor guy did have a future. Going to Alabama is the worst decision that kid ever made. I just don't see the point of going to a losing football team when he could have went anywhere in the country.
I don't think he made a mistake at all(other than I hope they find a QB) Alabama's draft/recruiting yearwas #1 in the nation according to a large number of sports guru's. I hope they can put it all together in the next couple of years. Then again, if Sabian doesn't do well quick the alumni association will run him off too...... just like they did Stallings years ago. He was the best coach they'd had since Bryant and probably since then as well. He wasn't "alumni" though so they didn't like him!!

Jim, just sit back and watch those poor gators of yours be turned into belts and comfortable shoes for somebody this year. Saban will be sporting a new gator "wallet" if all works as designed!! Hey, sorry I couldn't go with you this weekend. Save me a seat this year though. My freezer is low and my tackle is all dryrotting for lack of use!! I may even have a box of stretch 25's I can donate to your tackle stash...... still in the boxes!!

and who sir would have been better suited for the kid???? That was probably one of the best decisions he had made. Are you kidding me, having a chance to play for a successful coach as saban????? You watch my friend, and I am calling it here, he will be drafted out of alabama, barring he stays healthy, he will break records at alabama, and he will be a part of a team that will compete for a national title in the up coming years.

Nope, the kid's name was Alonzo Lawrence (Lucedale, MS) and he also signed with Alabama.
