PRFA Meeting from 7/12/2011 - See What You Missed!!!
    Pensacola Recreational Fisherman’s Association

Pensacola Recreational Fisherman’s Association Minutes from July 12th 2011

Our last meeting was different than our normal meetings because the PRFA usually invites guest speakers to come talk to us at our normal location at the Hancock Bank on Creighton Avenue. This time, the PRFA was invited by Tim Scallan to be his guest at his business Breeze Fabricators, Inc. in Gulf Breeze for our July 12th meeting.

    • The start of our meeting began with a rally speech given by Cliff Pack to remind all the members of our association why we are members, along with all the benefits that we all receive from being a member and what it takes for the PRFA to be a viable and evolving group. It was emphasized that it is everyone’s responsibility as a member to participate in gathering sponsorship’s for our upcoming 11th Annual PRFA Family Fishing Rodeo – September 16th-18th All members were challenged to sell or buy sponsorship spots for the Rodeo before our deadline on July 31st.
Here is the PDF form for anyone to download the Ad Sponsorship Form:

    • The 11th Annual PRFA Family Fishing. The Captains meeting will be held on the 16th of September and the fishing will be done on the 17th and 18th. The weigh in will be held at Shoreline Park in Gulf Breeze. Contact Cliff Pack aka Hollywood for more information @ 850-698-2901.

    • After all the serious business, we were given the official guided tour by Tim Scallan of Breeze Fabricators, Inc. Tim and his staff were great host and showed everyone how they fabricate and weld a lot of the aluminum products that are used in boats and other fishing needs. Here are some of the photos taken that night:

    · For any of your aluminum fabrication needs give Breeze Fabricators, Inc. a call:

    • Tony from Coastal Canvas made a brief introduction and stated that he works closely with Breeze Fabricators,Inc. to do custom marine canvas work on the products that Tim Scallan and his crew fabricates.

The PRFA recognized Kevin Maye for getting an article featuring King Mackerel fishing from a kayak in the CCA Tide magazine. Here is the link:

We always have fun at the meetings, there is always something new you can learn or share with others. We have great meals before the meetings and doorprizes at the end for all our paid members. Here are some more pictures from our last meeting.
