Its all true, and we did it to ourselves by demanding more money on the job, but not wanting to spend the moneywe make on American products. Instead paying a cheaper price for imports with much better quality.
Its the American way to find the best deal for our hard earned money. We wine and moan about all the foreign products, but are in wal mart (Foreign outlet) everyday getting a good deal. As much as I hate walmart, I still find myself there buying, cause I can't offord to shop anywhere else. I try very hard to shop other places to avoid the foreign outlet, but always end up there getting a better price. We tried grocery shopping other places, but with four kids, it was draining us, so back to walmart we go.
Really, are you going to spend 1,200 on a stereo system made in the USA, or spend 600 on a foreign systemwith the same or better quality? Even if you had the money to blow, that would be tough to do. Fact is, we have priced ourselves right out of the market demanding higher wages. Now if we took those higher wages, and returned it into American products, we wouldn't have this. We as Americans most likely will never make that change, our goverment would have to stop all imports into this country for this to ever turn around. Then the cycle will continue, demanding higher wages to afford American products, products get higher due to wages, on and on we go. Our government would have to step in and make some major changes to our wages etc. Its all a total mess to fix, and will take all Americans pulling together to fix the problems that no one wants admit we have.
Just my opinion :doh
