Default its like driving drunk

We have a 2001 Chevy Blazer with 138,000 miles on it. Driving down the road its hard to keep it going straight. Had a front end alignment done after new tires were put on. New ball joints as well. It has power steering and has a lot of play in the steering wheel. Also needs a new heater core put in it.

Does anybody have any suggestions or can refer a place to get these items fixed with out paying dealership prices.

Did I see you driving in thr Perdido Bay Golf Club area today?

I swear a Chevy Tahoe was pointed at me the whole time it drove by.

Pre 2001 though.

But every so often I'll see an SUV or truck (not some much cars) that seem to drive sideways.

Check with Evans Auto on 98 between Bauer and Dog Track. They are straight up folks and will give you a good price.

Sounds like the ""Pitman Arm"" Is going out, or the other one..Dont remember the name of it..Very Common in the chevys.. Maybe Idler Arm?, But either way only way to tell is have it in the air and shake the front tires side to side real quick... Go Take it to Jon at Tire Trust, he will let you know what is going on.. Ask For Jon though..

Also, Pretty sure on the Heater Core, the entire dash has to come out.. My step-dad has a 99 Chevy Blazer ZR2 and I want to say it was around 600 bucks to have it put in, The dash was also cracked during the process..

I've always had GREAT service at Blue Angel Automotive at Dogtrack and Blue Angel.

FREE tire repair after Ivan, fair prices, they don't seem to do unneccessary work (told me this week during a 100,000 service my plugs were fine and the brakes were good for another 15000 miles or so).

100,000 mile check was $100 cheaper than the dealer quoted.

And the office help is easy on the eyes too.

the steering gearbox has an adjustment on it also, you may need it adjusted if tie-rod ends, pittman arm, idler arm or wheel bearings check out ok.I dont think dash has to come out for heater core replacement, but it is a pain to replace.

Default tires

did you remember to change out the summer air in your tires to winter air. we have been having cooler weather so you may want to try that first.

Two hasn't been mentioned and I'm surprised and that is BeBo's on Sorento by Blue Angel and I think it is call LOU's on Lillian between Fairfield and Blue Angel.

Lou's my be a 3 day waiting period before he can see it though. HE IS ALWAYS backed up. There is a reason for him having so much business.
