I have the iPhone 4 now and have had nothing but problems with it and apples customer service is the worst I will have the droid once my contract is over

U can tether without there jailbreak on iphone 3g, 3gs and iphone 4 u just have to update to the newest software from itunes.

Seems like anything new gets a pass for a little while, especially if it does something it's competitor cannot. I've heard great things about the Droid and have seen it work faster than my iPhone. I do wonder what it will be like when there are many users on their network.

A main thing to consider is if you get service by that carrier where you need it. Many people's opinions are based on coverage and not necessarily the phone features.
