Default I'm so smart

i used to hate using my vacuum storage thing-a-migge because it took for ever to make a bag. Just took to blasted long. Well, I got it out this evening to try and freeze a rack of ribeyes I cut up for Christmas presents. I decided to put a piece of tape over the vacuum suction hole. Rational, it seemed when trying to make a bag it took forever for the thing to discover there was no air left and switch over to the burner. Taping up the vacuum hole made the thing switch almost immediately to burning.

I'm so smart!!!!!!

I'm guessin' it's no longer in warranty.

I'd send an e-mail to the manufacturer just to tell them your lesson. I've NEVER used that "option" (the suction hole) and probably wouldn't have even thought about a leak there. I'd guess 99.9% of the users don't use that hole either.

And THANKS!!! I'll try that when mine starts to screw up.
