Default I'm all for progress but??

I think the planning of the Avalon Blvd. project could have been better. The right of way is wide enough that I think they could have built two new lanes all the way from I-10 to 90 without near as much re-routing of traffic as there is. The lane shifts are way too narrow and the temporary lanes are extremely rough.

Why build the service road between Commerce and Sterling Way BEFORE the primary lanes are built??

I'm certainly no highway engineer.
Just a frustrated commuter.
I'll certainly be glad when it's done

I access hwy 90 off Glover Ln in the morning. At the light by the dodge dealer I cut straight across and run the rd behind the shirmp basket. It dumps you off just below the pond creek bridge on bagdad rd. From there just hit the exit in Bagdad. Time wise its about the same....maybe a minute, and I mean that literally, longer compared to a day where Avalon is flowing very good. Most days Ill beat you... the stress level is so much less and I dont have to put up with that whole road mess. Just a little advice if you come from that way.

YOU WANTED FOUR LANE NOT TWO LANE RIGHT????

Get back in your car, stop the mamby-pamby griping like a pesky woman and enjoy progress as you drive..... want a tissue....

Sorry, couldn't resist. I was thinking of the drill instructor insurance commercial. I love that one! Think about that commercial as you drive Avalon. Hope it helps.

Unfortunately I live just off Avalon. No choice but to drive it every day into Milton. I could go to I-10 east to Bagdad, then into Milton. May try that today. Thanks!
