Default If traveling I-10, beware of 40' sheets of ice falling...

Truckers are warning to stay clear of their bumpers as the ice sheet on top of their trailers will be blowing off once the hwy is cleared for travel. Never really thought about it, but dang sure wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of these sheets of ice... Ya'll be careful out there....

I have seen that before, the "Thaw-out" can be hazardous as was the freeze.

Imagine standing on the side of the road when one falls off & hits a pedestrian.

I saw a guy crossing the street @ Airport and 29 as a "rod" of ice came loose from the power lines and nailed him over the head. He stopped and turned quickly as if "someone" had hit him over the head, only to find nobody around. I do not think he even knows where the ice came from, as he never looked up. talk about perfect timing from Mother Nature. O*D*W

Are all of the roads and bridges open around Pensacola and Gulf Breeze now? I've got to come to Pensacola and was wandering about the driving conditions. Particularly concerned about the bridges. Thanks for any update.

Prolly felt he deserved it for being out in it. I would have kept going also.

Saw that this morning around 9 (smaller pieces) when turning onto Blue Angel, and cars & trucks going from 25 to 60. It was flying everywhere. I couldn't even imagine a 40 foot sheet coming at me like that.
