Default Icemaker Jams Help

I've got a Whirlpool Quest refridgerator that I bought after Ivan. Over the last few months the ice has been jamming up in the door shute. It's happening more and more frequently. Even though it's set on cubes there seems to be a lot of crushed mixed in. Anyone ever seen this before and have a cure?

Just a guess but, I would say one of two things. Either your door seal is bad, letting the ice melt ( do the dollar test) or your heating element is staying on too long right before it dumps the ice. I would clean out the bin and dry it, then put some paper towels in the bottom and let it make ice. When you hear it dump ice, check the paper towel to see if there is alot of moisture.
I guess it also could be the freeze cycle isn't long/cold enough.
Hope somebody else chimes in.

AHHH, there ya go, Jim had to go google it. Forgot the door chute sticking!

Thanks for the help.. It looks like the ice door is or hopefully was not consistently sealing all of the way. I can't see how to remove it but after some fiddleing around it has closed right the last 10 - 15 times. Thanks again
