Default I was wondering why PFF was slow tonight...

Currently Active Users: 129 (24 members and 105 guests) Most users ever online was 370, 11-21-2010 at 02:02 PM.

I just took the stats from both PFF and GCFC:

Currently Active Users: 129 (24 members and 105 guests)

Most users ever online was 370, 11-21-2010 at 02:02 PM.

There are currently 2038 users online. 115 members and 1923 guests
Most users ever online was 2,127, 25 Minutes Ago at 10:49 PM.

That's quite a disparity...

Crawlers,spiders,creepers...But your right I am sure it is the busiest forum on the net as you say!

The place has like 6 posters that all talk back and forth, I can name 5 in my head ......The rest of them all cross post as to not hurt feelings.

Doh!!!

No, I meant PFF appears to be losing the numbers it needs to keep it going. I mainly hit the 'new post' button when I'm online and there just wasn't a lot happening here tonight. Nothing implied as you should know I like posting here better..., there's just not much to post to tonight.

Those numbers are not accurate is all I mean...Just a lull really, not much hunting and minus sheephead fishing not much to report....I look over there from time to time but don't see the action they claim to have....I see the same topics here, many are just networking their businesses playing it safe I guess...The winning forum will be the forum with most BS, thats why this place will die is they have run off all the fun.

The PFF isn't what it use to be. I signed up on the GCFC because there was a bunch off members post I missed reading, but it is very slow over there, like Spook said you have 5 or 6 people that post alot and everyone else every now and again. Its a good forum over there but very slow, it will have recent post from 18-26hrs on the front page. This forum has been slow but over the last couole weeks there has ben alot more post and threads started. And I can promise you the numbers you see at the bottom of guest over there are not accurate numbers.

The user numbers have no connection... this dang board has that silly auto log out after like 10 minutes.

I reckon it is a money oriented setting. I guess the board owners get paid for those RAM sucking banner ads based on how many "members" see the board each day.

But both boards are slow due to the dreaded "down time" (not wade) between huntin' and fishin' season.

GCFC is much slower traffic-wise compared to here...especially since all of the improvements have been made here, seems like folks gave it another chance. Anything that's posted over there is just a repost from over here.
