State Farm didn't drop me but they sure didn't want my business. My insurance went from $650 in 2001 to $2000 after Ivan to $6700 after Dennis. I'm in Santa Rosa and started looking for a new insurance company after Ivan. When the last invoice came in that was it, dropped three cars, boat and homeowners and will never use them for anything ever again. Never had a claim for any of the policies.

Most likely 1 of the 2...
They haven't settled on the amount, or the salvage yard wrecker hasn't picked it up yet.

My wife had a claimant that bought a brand new motor coach. This coach was not a replacement for one she has/had owned and had insured. On the way home she totaled it out. Needless to say she wasn't happy.

New or newly acquired vehicles to replace an existing insured vehicle are covered for 15 days..it used to be 30 days. A gray line might occur if the vehicle is a add on.

So, since at least 3 or 4 of us are all telling the story I don't think I care to hear the circumstances for this guy. It's clear that state farm absorbed money for decades from customers and then when the customers actually finally had claims the insurance company wanted to get payback in just a few short years. At this point I assume they screwed this guy.
