Default Hwy 98 disgruntled State Farm customer

Has anyone else seen or know anything about the red, looks like a Durango , smashed up , with two banners on either side saying Stae Farm won't pay or some thing like that?

Usualy if an Insurance company won't pay there is a real reason , like missrepresentation or Omission, some intentional some not but Insurance is a contract and the company will pay out it's obligation if everything is in order, so I'm interested in the circumstances around this. The fact they have the truck out there all smashed up makes me think that it's a repair that is not being paid for but who knows?

I agree, too bad you can't post pic's on here anymore. I do have some I can EM to anyone who wants them.I did find out what the deal was though.

One of my kids friends parents vehicles is the one with the signs around it, and from what I understand, as I thought, they are upset because the payout was 10k less then payoff.

The problem is State Farm did nothing wrong, the insured just did not buy GAP insurance so they probably drove off on a zero down deal from the dealer putting them very upside down in the truck, then 3 weeks after they paid 30k for it State Farm paid them 20k. It really sucks for them but, hey, fine print can suck sometimes. And paying sticker can kick your but in this situation.

I have seen it. Thought it was funny. I dropped State Farm. I will never do business with them again. They tried to take my home insurance from $400/year to 10K a year in less than 3 years. Best part is I had no claims.

If that is the case, then how is it the insured still has the vehicle?

Let me guess You probably have a stucco house and with all the claims on the synthetic systems they wanted out. They did that to me and I have a conventional stucco system. I'll neve insure with them again.

Same here with WW2 and Bertram31, State Farm are a bunch of crooks and I'll never insure with them again. My homeowners insurance went from $572 in 2000 to $4109 in 2006 with no claimsfor anything. I had been a customer since 1990, 16 years, and they wouldn't even get back with me about the increase? That was Tish Olesky on Mobile Hwy who was my agent.

Went to Geico and got better coverage for $1466 a year.
