Default How to treat the flag

Is it just me that this bothers, am I wrong and is it ok? Summer olympics are way worse but why do the athletes have to win - then grab a US flag, drag it around on the ground for a bit, wad it up, then open it up and wrap it around their sweaty dirty body? Is this ok?

I saw that, but there's a lot going on in the moment. I cut him some slack.

If they are going to do some of the things they do with the flag after winning...... I'd prefer them to use a flag that just has USA on it. On the other hand, none of them are kneeling during the National Anrhem or having a political protest while on the clock.

Shawn White has apologized. There was too much going on in his head at the moment. I can forgive a momentary lapse. It is the intentional disrespect that @#$##$^&%^&% me off.

He meant no disrespect and is proud of his country... considering the conduct I've seen from others recently, I think I'll cut him some slack.

Didn't really bother me. It wasn't intentional in a disrespectful way, just an accident. Only thing I thought when I saw it was, "oh geez, that's going to have the internet roaring".

Wow. This was general question that was not related to White but I will admit it got me thinking. I figured I was the only one who noticed

I heard of some folks that get mad at other folks that don't shine a light on the flag when it is flying. some people just don't know any better but at least they were flying it. they should cover this stuff in school.
