Get some geese. They are great to allert everybody around if somebody comes into the area and will attack anything that does not belong there including snakes (2 legged and no legged alike)

Wasn't there a lawyer recently going around and suing if you had one of those signs. I remember my wife saying something about it.

Do not do this! You will become a target. No NRA stickers nothing about your gun. Motion sensor lights and an alarm on the house and gate. Keep a vehicle parked out front and rotate it from day to day. The best thing you can do is get a camera or 2. They will get in but if you have a camera you can prove who they were if the are caught at another house. You can buy little hidden cameras at a spy store and put a real one near the front door and signs shows your house is wired with them.

X2 on the extra car. I don't get rid of an old car because it looks like someone is home. I have the fence around the back and working on the front. I also have ADT. The alarm went off when we were in the process of working on the house. We think that it was kids who broke a garage window and the backdoor. Between ADT alarm and cutting their fool selves on the door window they didn't get anything but a sore arm. But, I also have dogs. My big boy is 130 pounds and he is worth every penny I pay for him. I read that if you don't have a dog, put a dog bowl out on the porch near the front door to make it look like a dog could be inside. The beware of dog sign is also a good idea even if you don't have one.

The dog part is something I always thougth would be an issue for an intruder. I had Rosco locked up in my office with the gun locker. He is 109lbs and is not at all cool with people that are not good with dogs or are not white. I'm going to post a few of my pictures of my house in Miami after it was broken into so you can see what the robbers tend to focus on while they are there. The first picture is the most telling to me. You can see a few things in it. First how easy it is to get a big dog locked in a room. Second they did lightly look throught my kids room but if you need to hide something do it in the kids room. In the rest of the pictures you will see what happens to the house after they find a hida gun. They only stole guns. They left 2 flat screans the computer and the jewelry. They want the guns. I got home when they were there and they ran out with the guns and left all the other crap sorted and stacked near the back door. An alarm would have stopped the whole thing from taking place. They came back 2 more times and not again after they set off the alarm the last time.

Your dog is your alert system and hopefully his/her looks are a deterrent for some. If they really want in and see a dog, they will do it in before they do anything else. Some dogs get scared too and will back off which helps them survive. if you remember a few years back a Pensacola store was broken into that had a small not aggressive pit bull. The devils took an axe to the dog. I hope those guys are rotting in a penitentiary.

Rosco can hold his own! That footrest part of the couch had the leather on the side they were pushing at him all ripped off. The second time they broke in the cops brought a K-9 unit in the house and Rosco and that dog got into it and Rosco got him good enough that the dog had to get stiched up. The cops asked if they could put him to work. On the flip side he's such a good dog that he lets my little cousin dress him up as a girl. You can't get that kind of range out of anything but a big ass male Golden Retriever!!!! He's the best dog EVER!!!!!
