1st line of defense past the door locks is a grumpy pit bull.

2nd-If I have clothes on there is a .380 in my pocket.

If I am in bed there is a loaded .45 in easy reach and a loaded 12 ga. 870 in almost as easy reach. Locked or unloaded firearms make very poor clubs. My kids are grown and gone and if the grandkids are visiting then proper measures are taken for their safety.

Soooooo many dreams, soooooo many visions. Truth be known, if you are the unfortunate victim of a home invasion, more then likely the dirtbag has studied you and know what they want. Imagine this, how many of you have open windows (blinds/curtains open)? How many have a door w/ glass in it? If you are in your home at night, you can't see out but they can see in. How many of ya'll keep a gun at your side 24/7? Most have it in the bedroom where it is easy accesible. So ifin you are sitting in your easy chair after a big meal or while eating a meal, what do you do when multiple suspects bust your door in then??? It's nice and makes you feel cozy inside (me too) that they will come in vertical and leave horizontal but reality needs to set in. You are more then likely to be a victim away from the home or a victim of a burglary not a home invasion.

My suggestion to you is, if you have a concealed weapon permit....USE IT!!! I have several friends that do and when I'm around them, I ask em where is their gun? Many say in the truck, at home.....That gun is no good unless it is on you, it won't do any good in the truck when you walk into a Tom Thumb and a robery goes down!

With the way the world is spinning, it gets worse each day. Just PLEASE use your head when you have a firearm!!! Know where you can and can't carry, and the legalities along with civil penalties which can be imposed if used incorrectly.

Just pray you won't be a victim, run what if scenario's in your head, and keep a clear mind!!!
