Default Hey Guys going to Colorado for a month!

Im leaving Sunday going out to Rifle, Co. for 27 days. I am going to be a personal chef at a hunting lodge. The outfitter is out of my hometown of Eufaula. I do not know the name of the lodge but I know we will be in Rifle. I plan on doing a little trout fishing as well as prospecting for gold in my "free" time. Has anyone been out there before?

Anyway for those of you on FB I will be posting daily my exploits.

My true point of this post though is tell all of you to keep your head up and hope for the best with the oil spill claims process. We finally got taken care of and it was for 100% of our request. I think that Feinberg is going to fix this mess after all.

And no I am not going to Co. because I got paid. I actually signed a contract back in May to take this opportunity because I was scared for the future and the money was right!

Anyway look forward to some good times. Hit me up on facebook, email [email protected] or phone 205-915-6934

Hopefully when I return Ill have some fresh trout along with some elk and mule deer.

Yall have a safe couple of weeks and Ill see you soon!

Good deal Chris. Try to find some of the Mepps spinners. The trout will tear up the black and yellow ones. They look like Rooster Tails but a touch different blade shape.

I just spent the better part of Sept in Colorado. It was nice flying out of 95 degree heat and going to the 70's and low 80's. Try to check out Durango if you get a chance. It is a very neat town and the people seem very down to earth. Enjoy your stay.

Forget the spinners and try flyfishing. I just got back from Steamboat a few weeks ago and I tell ya, you'll feel pretty close to the Lord when you pull a fat rainbow out of the river on a fly. Nothing like it!

Chris.....be sure to take the drive between Durango and Silverton. You will never forget it. I think this stretch is the best you can find without going north through Montana into Canada. the Canadian Rockies are the best without going abroad. Have fun.
