Default Help From Gator Fans

Kids are away at Nana's house this weekend. Seas are too rough to fish. My better half is not interested in a weekend at Ft Mcrea in the wind and rain.

So......we are thinking about heading to Gainesville for a little football.

Question is...

Are there any decent and reasonably priced hotels within (drunk) walking distance from the stadium?

If not, where would you recommend staying and what is the best way to get around without driving to/from.....a hotel.

I haven't been to a game in a couple years... but there was bus service on game days from the Oaks Mall just off I-75 (about a 30 minute ride with traffic)

We didn't stay there, but we parked there. There are plenty of hotels nearby.

Here's a link, but it's a couple years old:

I'd call the hotels, ask for rates for the game weekend and ask about buses to the game.

Let me know what you find out.

Tickets are pretty easy to get to these games, even from scalpers.
