Nice patina on that rusty roofing. That could become something cool, too.

Why don't we have a PFF field trip up to Evergreen? Call it a barn razing.

As of now, the house and barn are not accessible unless you are on foot. It's on the back 80 acres and grown up in trees.
I am signing a contract on Dec. 28 to cut timber off the property that will provide a road to get there with a truck.
Both the house and barn are structurally stable and dry. I don't know if I should have the logging crew push it all down with a skidder or actually dismantle it board by board. I think it would be easier to knock boards off while its still standing than pick them out of a demo pile.
It will be a major project but 1x12 heart pine lumber and oak 1x4's are worth the effort. The rafters and studs in the barn look like 2x8 pine.

Will post more photos after I meet the timber buyers in a few weeks.
