Hanging my laundry out
As we walk through this life, we are sometimes profoundly touched, or impressed by someone we meet along the way.
And so is my story about Earl. I met Earl over 25 years ago through his two sons. Earl quietly stood out. He was in his early 50's at the time and could work like he was in his 30's. Earl had plenty of money, owned numerous businesses, but he never showed it or mentioned it. Earl was and is a Godly man, but he never tried to run his beliefs down your throat. Who and what Earl is can be observed today in his adult children. Earl has walked the Christian walk throughout his adult life. An unwavering, quiet, but a convincing and impressive testimony.
I learned last night that Earl's oldest son Jeff, has just been diagnosed with lung cancer. I have known Jeff for 30 years, and he has been a true friend.
I would ask that you please include Jeff, Earl and their families in your prayers.
