Default Hand help

Ok guys,I have no idea if this has anything at all to do with fishing, boating, saltwater or anything like that but I have a question. I always have alot of problems (mostly during the summer) with the skin on my hands dying, cracking (to the point of bleeding), and peeling off. lately its getting so bad to where it actually hurts to toutch stuff because the skin is so tender. The reason im putting this on here is because every time i go fishing it seems to get alot worse that night and the next day. Anyone else have this problem? Is it just severe dry skin or could it have something to do with being alergic to bait and or fish?

Thanks =)

There was a whole topic on this in the Old Forum, so just do a search b/c i can't remember the remedies...a lot of people get it when they handle a lot of fish and are in the sun all day. A lot if its the small nicks and scrapes that get fish slime in them then get infected. You'd be amazed if you really just look at you're skin the next day!

hope this helps

You need corn husker's oil or something like that and if it doesn't work, you need to go to a doctor. You could have a skin infection.

Try using some Neosporin and see if heals things up. If it does, it's most likely an infection of some sort. Corn husker's oil is great as well as waashing your hnds real good with a soap containing some type of citrus oil. Neosporin is way to expensive to be using as lotion but I'd give a shot at least once or twice. There is even some that has lidocaine in it to kill the pain a little.

Take a weak solution of bleach and fresh water in a small bucket and rinse your hands whenever you get the slime on them. This worked for me when I commercial fished and hands would get real sore from slime and fin pricks from the fish. Your problem sounds a little worse though maybe a reaction from the slime and sun if the bleach doesn't work might see a skin doctor for advise.
I Dont know where I'm going but I damn sure know where i've been

Maybe try a product called "liquid glove". Goes on like hand lotion and acts like a barrier before the fact.

Like this stuff or simular.

Stir it up Trump

Get legal or get out.

Heavily fine or put in jail the ones hiring illegals.
Soon there would be way less illegals.

How do you know when Trump is doing something right????

When the D.C. status quo elite stuck in the mud out-of-touch pansies are crying foul at everything Trump is doing.

I actually have the same problem and it does indeed get worse in the summer when I am fishing and boating alot. I even have it on my feet and have been to the dermatologist a few times. It is a type of psoriasis the dermatologist gave me a steroid cream and it seems to be working well. It seems like the salt water dries it out so bad thats when it starts to crack and bleed. If you have any questions feel free to pm me.
