Default The Firing Line forum...

http://thefiringline.com/forums/index.php

Near the bottom they have their "Law and Civil rights" section. I am on this board and check it several times per day. There are lawyers, writers and more that will take every thing and run with it. If there is reason for concern than it will be discussed ad nauseum [sp] there will be all sorts of latin words and terms thrown around as well.

All of the above concerns were discussed when the articles were fresh.

It was found that these threats to the 2nd A. were minimal at worst. Things like congressional approval were brought up. Things that a president can write with the "Executive Power" can be unwritten as soon as he would be voted out. And he would surely be voted out ASAP since even the Dem populace are, for the most part, VERY PRO GUN RIGHTS.

I encourage every one to utilize The Firing Line. JUST BE SURE TO READ ALL THE RULES OF THE FORUM AND EACH SUBSECTION YOU WISH TO POST IN.

That forum is run with "Lecture Hall" mentality and not like the local pub or fishin' pier as other forums are.

NO UN treaty or Law Supercedes the Constitution EVER. Obama nor any other Polotician can barter our rights away through A "backdoor" deal in another Country. As far as other countries that have similar laws in the UN, they have had those weapon bans for years and years.

The American mentality will not allow this to ever happen. We have too many examples and statistics to prove it does not work and crime went up, but that is not the real reason they want to dissarm the public. As you know the right to bear arms was to protect the people from a tyrantical GOVERNMENT, not invading hostles. I will go out on a limb and say that if the Government tries to take away our 2nd Amendment that would be considered tyrantical and will cause a revolution. I know I would be part of it even though all my guns would have been stloen as well.
