Personally i'm not worried about the government trying to take my firearms . First you have to think about it even if they pass this law who is going to enforce the law ? The way i see it every one that i know in the military own at least one personal weapon if not more . Almost all cops sheriffs state troopers ect, own there own personal weapons . So with all these people owning there own weapons i dont see them wanting to give them up so why would they help take there own weapons away ?So whats that leave the guys in the suits to come try and take your weapons personally i don't see some pencil pusher coming to every house in america and taking your weapons . I personally just don't see how they could enforce this law if it's passed . How ever if it is passed and they do try and take peoples weapons i see a massive up rise this country is not ready for . The pencil pushers up in Washington think that you can stop shooting's buy punishing the people that do right . I don't know about ya'll but common since says go after the problem not after the people that are doing right . When guns are outlawed what will be outlawed when there no longer a problem ? I mean hell you can kill or injure people with anything . Men have found ways to kill other men since we come on this earth taking away firearms won't stop this we found ways to do it b4 there was firearms and will find ways after there gone if that happens .

I will hand my weapons over one bullet at a time a

I am not worried about them going door to door. But think about this. My nephews kid goes to an elementry school in pace. The teachers are asking kids if their parents have guns in the house and that the schools need to know so they can protect the children from harm. That concerns me. Also what if the goverment chokes off the supply of new guns and ammo for the public? I know some people say they have 10000 they can reload. But what if you can't get anymore stuff to reload with. These are very real possibilities. Plus with the libral agend making real progress thru the schools and media the second amendment supporters are a dieing breed. Its just a matter of time at his point. I hope and pray that I am wrong, but I fear that I may not be. Peopl get comfortable when they chip away at our rights. Eventualy there will be nothing left to chip away at.

Your nephew needs to contact the principal of the school and questions this practice. It is ok for the teacher to talk to kids and parents about gun safety but to inquire directly about guns in a household could become a privacy issue.

I told him that. But it is not just there. There are schools in pensacola that are doing the same thing. It makes me sick to even think about it. I am glad that my children were taught guns by me. They have a passion for them that they passing on to their kids. But to many people are rolling over and letting things go away. They are more worried about their social security and medicare. If they can get more from that and lose their guns for it they will. Thats wheat realy bothers me.

That is uncalled for the schools they should have no right to question a child about firearms in the house . I have no problem with the schools trying to teach proper gun use and teaching kids not to play with weapons or handle weapons with out an adult with them . I don't see a problem with this . How ever its none of the school's business weather or not you have weapons in the home ! The only thing i might see why they would worry would be because of some of the school shooting's that have happened in the last 15 yrs or so . I guess there trying to single out kids who have easier access to weapons . How ever this practice is wrong for the simple reason generally every one with weapons in a home teach there children how to handle the weapons and there more familiar with them and know what they can do when miss used . I would assume it would be pretty easy to get a weapon off the street . which would mean that pretty much any one with 50 -100 bucks could pick up a weapon and go shoot up a place ,so singling out a child just because he has weapons in his house is bull [email protected] . What happen to the days when you had a problem with a kid you and him go out in the school yard or street or back yard and fist fight and then shake hands and be done with it ? Some people might say that technique is wrong . I think it fine for the simple reason look back to the 1800 all the way to 20 yrs ago when laws were not so stupid when it come to fights you had many school yard fights which usually led to being friends after wards . You never heard about school shooting back then like you do now . So it must have worked i know i had several fights in school's and in the back yard that lead to several friendships that i still have years after being out of school . The way it is now if you get into a school yard fight your going to jail this is stupid in my opinion .

Yea i guess your correct they could choke the supply of new weapons and ammo . This would be a problem if they could some how ban ammo and reloading equipment . If this happen it would actually cause more problems then i think the government realizes . In the area i live we don't have break ends and things like most of your city areas do . I would say the reason for this is because we know every one in town how ever that not the main reason i would assume the main reason is because every one knows that people around here have weapons and use them on a regular basis . Think about it people in city's you might have a 50 / 50 chance the home owner has a weapon how ever out in the country your looking say Conservatively 75 /25 chance that the home owner int he country has a weapon where are you going to go to break into a home and rob some one ? If the government banned weapon the home break ends would go up car jacking robbery's ect would all rise for the simple reason the criminal's would have nothing to worry about because they would know the people who work hard and do the right thing would have no way of protecting there self or property . I looked up online in some of the larger areas like new york Chicago ect. the average response time for a cop is 5-8 min this is in area's that have alot more police . Were i live your looking longer any were from 10-20 min response time . Now i dont know about you but i think i can empty my 15 rounds from my 40 cal S&W in less then a min If i take my time . I no that 5-8 mins dont sound very long but if some one breaks into your house and you can end the threat in 10 -45 seconds its a lot faster then 5-8 min that it takes a cop to get there . I think the government needs to step back and use some common since .

I tried to buy a tank and they gave me a bunch of BS about. I just don't get it. As long as I don't have any felony convictions I don't understand why I can't have one. Its the ultimate home defense weapon and doubles as a huricane shelter!

Your Nephew should tell the School Board to FO, and it's none of their damn business!!!!!!!

Also, you're worried about not getting ammo. I recall talk not too long ago, about the Govt. was considering a new gunpowder to deteriorate after a few years, limiting the shelf life of ammunition. This would keep folks from stockpiling.
Not sure if it's true, but has anyone else heard this?

[QUOTE=Jolly Mon;692947]Man, people were using this scare tactic before Obama even took office, "Obama's going to take our guns away" Not one single piece of legislation to limit guns has been introduced in his term!

Maybe so , but don't put anything past this markist white house occupant and his thug regime. Neither you nor I know what they are doing in secret behind closed doors. Better to be informed and aware than to be blind sided by some excutive order or UN treaty !!!!

What do you think the purpose of them using YOUR tax dollars to buy weapons in the US and send them to the cartels in Mexico was for?
Do you think they couldn't find out who the cartels are without giving them a pile of guns?

"All that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing"

Just look at the people that he has appointed to positions of power. They are all anti gun and would love to take our right to have them away. His supreme court justices that are antigun, all of his czars who don't have to pay taxes but get to head government agencies, his pick to head the ATF who is on record stating that he doesn't belive that civilians need any guns. Open your damn eyes you stupid liberal sheep. I'll be damned if I am going to let my daughter learn its ok to be gay in school. I will decide what is ok for my child to learn and agree with until she is old enough to make an informed decision and not be brain washed by the schools and other groups for their agenda. If the librals don't belive in guns than fine. Don't own one. But leave my rights and my children alone.
