Default Gun Bluing

Does anybody do this locally at a descent price? I have a S&W model 49, 38 Special that was left to me that has some surface rust on several parts. Hate to see this weapon go down hill any further. I saw the kits that you can buy on line, but I have no experience with these. Thanks in advance for any recommendations. Tom B.

Default Gun finish

Call Tim Barry @ Baywatch Arms. He does a "coating process" that leaves a really nice finish. He uses assorted colors, some which appears as original blue finish. I have seen some of his work and it is first class.

Ellis Fleming. His shop is behind Buck & Bass on Pine Forest Rd. Call for hours. The phone # is in the book under gunsmiths or just call Buck & Bass. They'll have the number. Only place in the area I found that does gun bluing. He does it in batches, so is best to call him.
