Default Gotta vent...

Tried to make the first payment on my truck Monday with "ally", formerly GMAC.

Here's the e-mail I sent this pm.

I purchased a new vehicle in December and financed it through Ally.
VIN XXXXXXXXXXX. In numerous letters I was assigned an account number XXXXXXXXXX
I enrolled onto your website with that account number. As I began to enroll the vehicle was there, but as I completed enrollment it disappeared.
I called the phone number, sat on hold for 10 minutes, talked to a nice lady who said that was the wrong account number. She gave me XXXXXXXXXXXX
I asked how to add that account on the web site. She asked if she could put me on hold. 10 minutes later, still on hold I hung up.
After a few minutes I called back , held for 15 minutes, talked to a second woman, gave her the NEW account number. She could not find the new account.
Through a slightly bad connection it was impossible to try to relay the VIN number, I got frustrated and hung up.
The first payment was due 2/14/ 2011. I tried to set up the account then and pay.
I've done my due diligence. Tag your it. I cannot even send a check because their is apparently no account number associated with this vehicle.
When you call or email or write I don't want a lot of questions. You have my name, my VIN, my address, my e-mail address, and my home phone number.
Get back to me when it's fixed.

funny, exact same thing happened to me in october with FMC. I even got a call saying 'congratulations on your recent payoff of your ford truck, thank you'... before i had even made the first monthly payment lol

i financed a tahoe when they were still gmac and low and behold, my first payment was drawn from my checking on 2/14/09...they were bought out by ally and there might not be enough in that account on every 14th of each month so, i call them and tell them wait a week and it has worked...

i'll pm you a good number to call ally tomorrow from work...i have 2 more years with them and i'm sure a payoff amount will be tricky at best...i wish i could have paid cash...
