Default Google Checkout

Has anyone ever used Google Checkout? I am trying to buy a horse trailer from someone in Colorado and they want to do the deal with Google Checkout. I never heard of it before but its on Google's website and looks legit. I am wary, though. Should I proceed?

Thanks

I bought my current unlocked smart phone (google nexus) thru Google checkout (over one year ago) and didn't have any problems or concerns with them/it.

I used to use it on one of my website venues (as a seller) until I got a charge back. The customer got the item, the money they paid me and a charge back fee like a bank would do. I fired them on the spot. Paypal does it differerently and I don't like them either, but have far less problems than I did with google pay.

Google got into the business, but were never a bank. They just wanted to get a cut of the transactions they handle. Paypal is the name Great Western Bank came up with in 1996 or 7. They were already a bank. Another company bought them out and then Ebay bought them out. So Ebay owns paypal now, FYI. Hope this helps.

Paypal has a setup for making a big purchase. They call it escrow. They hold the money until the transaction is settled satisfactorily.
