Makes my BP claims problems seem very insignificant! Thank the Lord!

Default Missing Teen

Well, well, well. Turns out that she had a little run at Larceny. I hope she did not do this without serious influence from her so called friends. And it looks like her parents told the OCSD to go ahead and show her arrest picture on TV. Good for them, I hope it straightens her out. Prayers to her parents and family. They are sure to go through more hell with the legal system. I am glad she is safe and hope she has learned a lesson. I would also hug her and then damn near kill her if she were my daughter. Rick.

I'd consider this a family matter and leave it at that.

The post originated with a call to help find a FIFTEEN year old.

Fortunately she is safe. Can't we leave the rest to the family. Frankly, I ashamed that we conjecture on a public message board, SHAME on us. This is not the Pensacola News Journal message board. We are a fishing community who help each other once in awhile and hopefully leave the crap to other forums. ESPECIALLY with regards to 15 year olds who make mistakes.

Leave this family alone.

Jim

I have 4 kids,,, my two youngest are 15 yr. old twin girls and I watched this post all weekend long. I too did a lot of stupid things when I was that age,,,, took me an hour or two to realize once I did something wrong,,, then the fear of going home and facing what was to come kept me away. Now I let my kids know, no matter what they have done they can always call me and I might yell and scream, but I will love them and try and work through what ever it is. BUT I also let them know you do the crime you pay the time,,, part of growing up. Better to learn young.
God Bless to her and her family.

jimT i disagree, she needs to be made an example of for other teens that think stealing cars is cool. Good thing it wasn't your new truck she stole! I think you would have a different view if it was your new truck.

Feel bad for the parents, she deserves everything she'll get. I'd light her ass up if it was my daughter. Have ya'll heard the way kids talk to their parents these days. It's all the dumb laws about not being able to touch you're kids or its abuse. I know I got a belt and after a few ass whooping I sure didn't do whatever I got in trouble for again.

I agree.
The very first deterrent for lawlessness, etc. is public humiliation.
Not speaking of, whispering, hiding punishment from public view, etc. has not helped this society any in recent years.

Actually that is not a law. The only law is that you can't leave any permanent marks or scars and you can't break anything. (Bones or skin)
Kids would like you to think that you can't touch them but you can.

What really sucks is that she will probably at the most get probation, and because of that may end up never learning her lesson. Before anyone jumps my ass about what I said , know that my Oldest and very Estranged Son, as we speak, is in court for Petty theft, 4 counts of VOP, and God knows what else, then he goes to Okaloosa county 30 minutes after that ( How I have no idea) for a hearing on a Tresspassing charge and 2 other VOP's, then there is the Felony " Dealing in stolen property" charge, which was the ipod he stole from MY house he sold, and the list goes on and on with him.

I do not Consider him my Son any longer, but with all that being said, he has not spent more then a few days in jail and most likley won't after all this and I think I have finaly figured it out. If you do not have the resources to pay all the fines and restitution or probation costs, they just write you off, slap your wrist and let you go. If you have some money they will throw the book, nightstand, reading glasses and rug at you. IT IS BS!!!!!!!!

So long and short to me is, as much as you don't want your kid in trouble, the slpap on the wrist thing does not work in any case I have seen , it just gives the kid the impression they can get away with anything and when they become an adult they end up ruining real chances of a good life by having a record. Hammer them when it won't ruin thier lives IMO.
