Default Football coaches

Any football coaches on here. I coach my sons pee wee team and am going to have to be line coach. I know the basics but never was a true bona fide hog. Any help would be great. Drills for speed, tips, technique???

While your doing that could you teach them some of that respect and character that I keep hearing that coaches teach. The vast majority of athletes I teach are rude and disrespectful.

Buddy I have coached for 6 years and most of the boys I have problems with have no dad. Either he works too much or isn't around. Its the Sportscenter generation. Everybody wants to be outrageous.

Its the closest thing to playing again. Its unbelievable to see 10-12 year old boys play as well as they do.

There's lots of info and coaches that can help you out. I would start with these sites:

http://forums.delphiforums.com/n/mai...ingers%2Fstart

http://www.dumcoach.com/index.php?PH...a9;wwwRedirect

Tons of coaches, playbooks, drills, and coaches who have been where you are headed and will provide help.

11 12....if you have an experienced group,,,,linemen should be working on footwork and leverage at that age. If not, proper stance, firing off the ball, ball side -head side blocking.

we use the "cow shoot" to teach blocking....nothign more than a 3.5 -4 foot high pen just wide enough for one lineman...have a DL and a OL face each other in proper stance. fire off and work on driving feet in small choppy steps. the benefit of a "shoot" is it is made of 2x4's if the LM come up to high they hit the topbars. add a 2 x12 down the middle of the lane to help LM keep proper foot spacing when driving...
