Just out of curiousity, why in the world would my post on this thread be deleted?I used no profain language or anything offensive for that matter. All I said was I would eat there if it were authientic. No steamed crawfish and stuff like that.

I have read much more abrasive responses then mine and they are still here. What gives. It's not a big deal, I just have never had a post deleted before and thought it would take alot more then talking about food.:doh

TURTLE (1/13/2010)It really depends on who runs it and who cooks the food.If it would be owned by either Cajun peolple or at the least some one from the southeast, I would say yes, but I would have no interest in steamed crawfish with old bay sprinkled on them, or undercooked grits with no salt.

If it's authintic yes, everyone should stick to what they do best and there is no place in the culinary world of cajun cusine for a yankee.:letsdrink. No offense to the yank chefs I know several very talented northern chefs and cooks, but I would'nt ask them to make me Jambalya or red beans and rice and for sure not any kind of seafood that is from this area.
This is not deleted, are you mental???

Wow, its hard to believe its already been a year of me trying to get into this!

I moved to Navarre in March to get a feel for the area. I am currently back up in Louisville working one of our best stores, and damn its been a blast! People love the place. Food prices have gone up as you may have noticed on your grocery bill but we are still able to offer you nearly a pound of food and slice of fresh garlic bread for about $6!

Some of the dishes we offer are; drunken chicken, voodoo chicken, Bourbon St chicken, bumble bee stew (perfect for those of you that dont like things too spicy) as well as nachos smothered in our drunken chicken and white chili!

I am running the store in KY in hopes of increasing my chance for that all important loan.

So far Ive got two general areas in mind. One is off of Beal, the cut off or Eglin in FWB or Bayou Blvd or some where else near the mall/ Sacred Heart in Pensacola.

Any further input is greatly appreciated fellas!

I've seen those Cajun franchises in Malls and such. Last one was a couple days ago in Portland, Oregon. Never tried them though. I reckon those fast food places to the old buffets when I was a kid. Decent lukewarm food.

Different "flavors" of chicken. Fine.

I prefer a sit down meal of "Red beans and rice", or "Jambalaya" at Jerry's.

Maybe it's also pre-made, but it's a local recipe, not a national premade in a frozen package. (not that there is anything wrong with that).

NOTHING wrong with fast food. But, "When in Rome..."
