Default Dog repellant/ non lethal/no harm

Does anyone have any suggestions? The neighbors have about 5 dogs too many. No control at all. We are out in the "country" w/ acreage. They roam as a pack. Looking for ways to gently persuade the animals to look elsewhere for entertainment. Anyone?

These folks need fencing if they care about the dogs.

Pepper spray. Get the one that will shoot a 10-20 ft stream. Only takes 1 time per dog, hit in the face, to gain your respect. If they ever come running to you, all you do is raise your hand as if you are going to spray, and they will turn and high tail it.
I've had a pack of them to keep partially circling me after being sprayed, but wouldn't get within 20' of me. Those just didn't get a good hit in the face is all, but enough to keep them away.

An attorney friend represented a guy who shot a beagle in the head with a bb gun and killed it. He was trying to keep it out of his garbage can and the attorney felt that he really did not mean to kill the dog. Unfortunately the neighbors were upset and took him to court even though he offered to pay for the dog. Animal cruelty laws are more stringent now days than they were at the time of this incident. So, I would try to talk with your neighbor first. They really do need to fence part of their yard if they want dogs. After that I would try the noise maker and then the pepper spray if I had this problem.

Only a matter of time before that pack attacks and kills somebody or something.

It'll cost you , but go online to Hornblasters.com and buy one of their set-ups . Point it at the dogs and the neighbors house and blast it everytime the dogs leave the yard . I'll almost guaranty they will learn . Or you can buy a single strand electric fence to run the length of your property line on his side.

I was curious so I went online to hornblaster. I think that might work. The fence would still be the best option but unfortunately he can't make them put one up.
