Default Did she deserve it?

Video going around the internet of a brawl at an Atlanta IHOP, and a cop clocking a young woman in the face. The girl was obviously resisting arrest, and the girl put her hands on the cop, but does that give him the right to punch the girl? I guess anything goes when someone takes a swing at a cop, man or woman...so I guess the cop is in the right. But many disagree. Thoughts?

No. That was bad. He slapped her first. If that was any of us we would be in jail. He should have used a falcon punch!

I bet she'll think again before fighting with the police. It's time decent people stop putting up with ignorant, non respectful people like this lady. I say she got what she deserved!

Cop was out of line. WAY out of line. She put her hand on his shoulder and he smacked the s#!t out of her. I agree with Bullshark, if that were me, I'd be UNDER the jail right now.

DANG! Found a 2nd video from different angle. More to the story, it was around 3:30am in the morning, the IHOP store manager called the cops on these girls for being drunk off their asses and making a scene. After seeing this one, I think the girl that got punched was asking for it...

Did she touch him first ? If so, she committed a battery.
The width of the table obviously restricted the LEO's ability to restrict her movement and
take her into custody.
How would you have suggested that the LEO taken this assailant into custody under the circumstances ?

I don't know the whole story, but it looks like the officer was trying to remove/detain one of the other women, then this lady decided to put her hands on the officer (looked as though she was trying to separate him from her friend) he pushed her away and she came back swinging, he then punched her and detained her...i say rightfully so, and I say he should of knocked her slap out instead of just stunning her
