<P class=story_copy><SPAN id=text1>I had the honor of attending his funeral today, and I had a renewed faith in mankind today! <P class=story_copy>1st -being a strong, tougher then nails type of guy did not hold up today. I don't believe there was a dry eye in the church including my own. I did not have the pleasure of knowing or ever meeting Tony, but he was a BROTHER and I have love for all my brothers and sisters! It is sad to see anyone loose their life, but as it was said today Tony lost his life doing what he loved. He was a CHRISTIAN and was ready to meet the LORD. I have this same attitude, if I were to die today, I know where I will be and who will surround me. No one knows how much time we have and our lives can be wiped out in a split second. I will continue to pray for Tony's family especially his wife and 2 daughters.<P class=story_copy>2nd -I extend great pride and thankfullness to those special folks that were along the escort route with flags, saluting, hands over their hearts, and tears in their eyes. I was not expecting that many people lining the roads which brings relief that there are still respectful people in the world. Watching the children waving andsaluting and the AWE in their eyes was touching to the heart. I thought tears were dried up at least until I got to the gravesite ceremony, boy was I wrong. Seeing these folks made me realize that there are people who still care.<P class=story_copy>3rd - I dearly thank from the bottom of my heart those officers that traveled to show their respect to a fallen hero. I personally saw officers from Slidel, La and several from south Florida but heard there were some from as far as Texas. Thank you for showing RESPECT, HONOR, and PRIDE in our career choice.<P class=story_copy>Tony is in a better place at the feet of JESUS and I know I will meet him 1 day. Tony, I would like to thank you for the ultimate sacrifice and pray those with you on your last breath will understand it is no one's fault. It was part of GOD's master plan and no one can fathom WHY? As tears roll again, I pray for those who's lives you touched and that we'll all meet in a perfect world 1 day. Several thousand people honored forgione at the church, many others who never met him lined the streets as the processional went by.

People of all ages waved American flags and put there hand over their heart.

Today gave mourners the chance to explain the significance of law enforcement to his six year old daughter Madison.

It was a day that impacted many, day and a man they will never forget.

I too attended the attended the funeral yesterday. My prayers go out to his family. Here is a couple of pics. The first two are of the flag above the roadway near the entrance to the cemetary between two Fire Dept ladder trucks and the last picture is Law Enforcement vehicles parked in the roadway at the cemetary.
