Yes, I did look into that but the cost was absurd. It would have been $38K to get my teeth squared away with implants and bridges, all paid up front.

My own fault. When I was younger and bullet proof I "didn't need to go for regular checkups" and then some years ago everything just fell apart.

Take heed younger folks !!!!!

I am running into the same thing. got 3 more to go which means all but two of my molars will be gone. luckily i had my front fixed some years back before they got too bad.
I used to drink a gallon of soda per day for around ten years... now i have maybe one 20oz. a month at most, now its all sweet tea and non carbonated (except a few beers on occasion).

Thanks Sean, I feel much better today but still in pain. Those loritabs he prescribed me made me nauseated all day so I stopped those after just two. I can handle the pain better than the sea sick feeling.

And, as for my final steak for a while. I had my wife pick up a prime rib and shrimp dinner from mcquires, damn near $50. The steak was dry, tough and tasteless and the shrimp were so spicy I couldn't hardly eat them. And they forgot to put the tater in the order. That's two bad steaks in a row from them so there won't be a third. They used to have the best steaks in town, what happened?

"Example, using an attachment to put into a denture is going to be less expensive than using an implant for the crown. "

Could you give us more details on what you mean by this ? My dentist said that my two choices are an implant and crown or a bridge (which he didn't recommend)

well a denture is going to consist of a full arch of teeth. You sound like you either need one tooth replaced or just a couple. The implant consist of 3 parts: The part that is put into bone, the part that is used for the restorative aspect (there are different attachments for different uses of an implant, meaning if the final restoration is a crown will be one part vs a different part than if using a denture) and then the final restoration being a crown, or a bridge, or a partial denture or full dentures. It can get a little confusing without seeing some models of it all

now a bridge will consist of grinding down the tooth infront of and behind the space. Statistically implants are better

Wife made me a delish breakfast this morning, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and sausage. Then threw it all in the blender and made a sticky paste out of it I had to eat with a spoon.

Again to the younger folks, TAKE CARE OF YOUR TEETH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go visit Wes, regularly !!!!
