Sometimes we get freezing temps here in P'cola.
An elevated deck as described does not get any warmth from the earth to keep it from freezing. I would not trust a tiled deck, exposed to the weather to protect what is underneath from getting water penetration after being frozen a couple of times. And when it freezes with any moisture under the tile, they will pop off. a likes this.

Did not get decking as we are going with slab on grade house with slab on grade veranda instead. We were thinking about elevating the house about three feet but are not going that route now. So can't tell you about performance and noise, etc. Contact them and they should be able to provide area customers whom might be willing to talk to you or show you?

Don't make it complicated. Go with the Sonoguard system. Easiset to maintain, most reliable, and cheapest.
Most important thing is to make sure a professional installs it and that it is flashed correctly, no matter what system you use. Last edited by gator75; 08-17-2016 at 09:34 AM. |
