by the looks of the link it does belong to the city, or atleast last year it did. looked pretty cheap considering location! you see what it went for back in the 70's?

so if it is private, the gulfbreeze leash law would not be in effect?

i'm guessing many folks take their dogs there to run and play on the beach?

I going to ask the obivious question, where is Deadman's Island. I must have passed by and never realized it was an island.

It's on the North side of Gulf Breeze, just East of Town Pt. At one end there's a big chunk of concrete/rock sticking up out of the water.

Oh yeah, I'm not positive, because I haven't been up in the bayou behind it in a long time but I don't think is is currently an island. As a kid I remember that sometimes it was accessible on the east end by walking, and sometimes it wasn't because it would be washed out. It's just always been known as dead mans island.

Pretty sure it is called deadmans island because it was a cemetary.

Leash law would still be in effect if private or city owned. I am not sure but I think the only non-leash law areas are in the rural parts of the county. Getting a ticket might be avoidable only because it is difficult for the leo to get there.
