The bear had been shot twice before, relased to Eglin and came back to Crestview to eat garbage...we need a bear season, I did not kill this bear!

I wonder if the person who shot the bear was afraid for his family or if he just wanted to see what it was like to kill a bear.

Apparently they didn't take it far to release it.

Not sure how you know he was an idiot, unless you have had these things come at your back door trying to get inside while tearing up your house, or hanging around your yard tormenting your kids and pets and FWC refuses to do anything about it I wouldnt judge to hard. Im not saying thats what happened but it has and I know for a fact it has happened before. If this bear got shot twice chances are he was not in the woods somewhere minding his own business. If a bear got shot once I could see where it would be an outlaw or some dumbass trying to screw with a bear but twice?

Bears can be like very BIG racoons. Once they find an easy regular food source, there is going to be a problem sooner or later.

I agree and I don't think bears are growing in population as much as some think. I think their habitat is shrinking. Look at how much land Eglin has cut down and is still cutting everyday, they have to go somewhere.
