Stupid pigs don't even know the law, that's how people beat so many crimes in court. Cops are idiots and most have no idea how to properly handle things.

Normally I would agree, but I have had to deal with a good few in South Santa Rosa county and I can honestly say they were all very professional and for the most part got things handled for me.

What really does piss me off to no extent is the lack of jurisdiction and communication between County offices. How can you be on probation in one County, get arrested in another and consequently adjudicated guilty and put on probation there and NOT violate the existing probation? That makes no sense to me. For one, to report to either you would have to leave the current county which in itself is a violation without permission, so , to get permission you would have to say you were on probation somewhere else right?

They need to get their shit together.

Training isn't going to do this guy any good. Look at my post on the confiscation thread. I was a LEO and I've worked on the range all over the country training and being trained. This is what you get from a great many officers in our big cities.

While we do have some bad cops in the south - every profession has bad people - our cops many times just ASSUME that everyone has a weapon and they know how to deal with the situation. These guys up north and their public don't grow up with them like many of us have and they are not programmed to respond accordingly. This guy not only screeches like a scared little girl, he does not know how to appropriately handle the situation.

Procedurally, these guys did just about everything wrong in this stop, so we shouldn't be surprised that they screwed up handling the gun in the situation either. I hope that not only does this cop lose his badge, but the department is sued civilly also so they are forced to bring some sanity to their training. Most of these departments train thier officers to wet their pants when they encounter evil firearms.

Chalk this up to one of the few things we USUALLY do better in the south.

From the discription, I can't tell if these people were actualy the ones at the scene of the crime or not but still, If I had on a bullet proof vest and boots I don't think a wiener dog would scare me into shooting it with a 12 gauge. Must be a cat guy.

I dont know what "post count or membership term" has to with defending this cop's actions. Your going to have to give me a better reason to censor my opinion.

Using your logic, I don't understand why you commented at all considering WE also have a difference of opinion. Are we not allowed to disagree sir? You are on a public forum...

That dog killing video is brutal! Some of these cops can't wait to kill something.

I don't see anything wrong with the guy getting tased on the lawnmower, he deserved it and was warned. Bet he won't try that stunt again.
