Cox Cable did notify us of the price increase. Their cable bill comes in 2 pages. The second page last month had the increase notification. I've been reading that second page for a year or so, trying how to get my bill below 200 dollars for internet, tv and it down to 179 now it back to 202. Personally I like cox customer service. Call them with an internet problem and get a LOCAL person.
I wish they had a a in between tier for internet between basic and preferred, with a higher upload number. Give me 1mb up and I'm happy.

I've been looking all morning fro cheaper ways to do this. Sure Direct had 49 a month for the first year for tv, but it doubles and you have to have a 2 year contract plus monthly charges for the dvr, etc, which pisses me off to no end. Plus I hate their customer service and satellite tv installers tend to show up at 5pm to do a whole house install in 10 minutes while your eating dinner and your left with a half ass job. Ive had Direct and Dish and may end up back again, but I'm not happy with my choices. Dish has a one year contract also.

With all of them, you need to read the fine print. Cox seems to be offering NEW customers some price breaks, but they dont seem to care about existing ones too much. 50 buck a month for internet is too high, should be like 35. If they ever get 4g around here mabey it will drop. I'll just tether my phone to the computer.

I don't know where Powers got that survey. The week that Verizon announced the Iphone, all the talk shows were saying how people would bail cause ATT had the WORST rated customer service!!
Still shopping!!
