Default Coke Fiends!!!

Sorry, I mean those hooked on Coca-Cola, you know the "GOOD" stuff, with 150 calories in a 12 ounce can.

I too am an addict.

I've spent two weeks trying to ween myself off the stuff and it appears to be working.

I've been trying "Coke Zero"

NO it does not taste as good, but it's certainly not as bad a "Diet Coke". For the first few days I STILL got that awful aftertaste though not nearly as bad as with Diet Coke.

I find if it's VERY cold and a FRESH can it kills the urge for a real coke, and I don't taste the "after taste" nearly as much.

I've been buying those small cans, more money, but I'm also drinking a lot less.

NOT the same for sure, but give it a try, COLD and FRESH is key though.

I'm good so far.

Jim

I've gotten use to most diet drinks and actually enjoy 'coke light' and 'unleaded' Dr. Pepper . Talk about getting the hammer when my doctor told me to cut out sodas because they contain phosphoric acid and they're messing with my kidneys . Strangely enough , mt dew and root beer doesn't have any .

I too am a "Coke" fiend, and managed to curb the habit for a year or so, but then fell off of the wagon !

Diet Doctor Pepper is pretty good, doesn't leave any kind of after taste, and tastes as close to the original Dr. Pepper as you can get, alot closer than the Coke vs. Diet Coke taste gap.

Not sure if You like Dr. Pepper, but it may be a substitute for you. Also the Walmrt brand carbonated waters are good too, the Lime on tastes just like Sprite.

I really do like a good cold Coke now and then. My grandmother and great aunt, both of which are long gone now, were Coke "fiends" but I always attributed it to the fact the stuff they grew up knowing was probably laced with something special. I never understood the addiction, but know a lot of folks that have it. I occasionally drink the Coke Zero, can't stand the diet version. Since my daughter likes "the real thing" we usually have some around the house, so when I do get the urge I just grab one of the leaded versions. Good luck kicking the habit.
