Default Coast Guard

I have decided that I am going to enlist in the coast guard after I finish this semester of college. Ive done some researching over the past couple of weeks and it just seems right for me. Im really looking forward to the whole experience.

Spencer,

PM Kingmack (Caleb) on here. I don't know if you've met him or not but he joined the CG and I believe he's stationed in Long Beach right now. If he doesn't respond in a day or two, let me know and I'll get you a phone number.

He's a couple of yrs older than you but can give you a good prospective from someone relatively new into the CG and more your age.

I've got another friend that's active over in Mississippi that I can get in touch with.

Good Luck and best wishes in your decision.

Spencer, congrats on you! you will do well. Scott Brown is a good source of info. heck any man that can relieve his watch (retire) and hand the responsibility to his son to carry on in the same ceremony is top notch in my book! that story always gets to me! so good luck, you puddle jumper!! i am just kidding!! i love the coast guard! and all the armed forces for that matter.

I did 7 years from 91-98. Was stationed in Key West and New Orleans. Trained in Cape May, Yorktown and Petaluma. It was an experience that will never regret. Good luck!! FYI--In hindsight I would've gone aviation.
