What a coincidence.

What a coincidence.

No coincidence involved now that I think about it. My son and I left early Saturday to go to Sedona. It had snowed which is somewhat rare for that area. My wife and I had been there the year before to get away from all the mess Ivan created.

.with deeeep pockets.

The guy on stage was not the owner of the Discovery Channel, he was a proxy bidder. He bid against Ron Pratt for a while, a man with some real class. The proxy was really acting like a jackazz, Pratt is always cool as a cucumber.

It might be presumptuous of me, but I believe the 56 Jaguar XK 140 MC Roadster designed by William Lyons, founder and director of Jaguar, could be included in this discussion.

Had a chance to buy one in 1966 for $300. It needed minor body work, paint, and new interior. I still feel like kicking myself for passing it up.

Beautiful car but no Corvette killer with the teenagers at the time. All we wanted were BIG engines.
