Default Boil Water Alert for South of 98 in Holley Navarre Area!

Received this from a reliable source in email today, thought it would be good to post here.

A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for residents of Holley Navarre living south of Highway 98 from Tom Street to the Okaloosa County line.

As a precaution, residents are advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled.

A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. Tap water can be disinfected by adding 8 drops of unscented household bleach to each gallon of water, then mixing the water and allowing it to stand for a minimum period of 30 minutes.

This “precautionary boil water notice” will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and bacteriological samples show that the water is safe to drink.

For more information, please contact the Holley Navarre Water System at (850) 939-2427.

No idea, could be storm related form the other night maybe. They had a lot of wind damage in the Niceville area but not sure about the Holley Navarre area.
