regardless of how close the snake is to the camara, consider the fact that the fork of the stick he is holding up is at eye level, and there is snake tail dragging the ground, and some more hanging off the other end of the fork...and even if we assume guy holding it is only average height, say 5'8" to 5'10" and not the 6'2" that is in the origional story, that still is a big snake.
I would not want to meet up with him if'n I wasn't packing !

Next time I kill a snake, I'll do a bit of trick photography fer ya'll. I bet that snake is about 5 and an inch or so....I've taken 2 inch bream and made em look like studs before...kinda funny.
