not having been to many CFB games but i much prefer FSU's stadium to UF's...just seemed more laid back (literally not nearly as steep) but that's my limited experience...

Ive been to Bryant-Denny, Tiger Stadium, Ben Hill Griffin, and Doak Campbell. All are nice places. I prefer Bryant-Denny over all of them (go figure) and Doak Campbell in a close second. When they play the Bear Bryant tribute at the begining at Bryant Denny and when they Spear the 50 yard line at Doak its an awesome feeling whether you are a fan or not the energy is unreal.

I found us; we were on a different list.
National championships:
Miami - 5
Florida - 3
FSU - 2

The real Orange bowl was great, Doak Campbell is okay. Death Valley in SC is the best stadium I've been to. Great atmosphere and great fans.

Clemson at #14, I'll take it! We might have underperformed for the past 20 years and be stuck in the ACC, but damn it we can tailgate and yell with the best of them!! GOOOO!!!!! TIGERS!!!!!!!

NICE retort!!!

SC is a good one... I gotta go with the history at nebraska, texas, ou, osu, michigan, notre dame and 'bama in no particular order. lsu and FLORIDA lead the second tier.

ole miss is a just a great place to spend a Saturday in the fall, uga, and ut too

College towns are special places in the fall.

Florida and LSU on a Saturday night during a big SEC football game are by far the loudest stadiums. I'd say Auburn and Alabama are the next group with South Carolina also being up there. Hard to believe but SC has a great atmosphere. FSU has by far the best looking stadium but high school teams have louder crowds and the atmosphere is blah. Ole Miss is a beautiful campus and a nice little stadium. Tennessee is big and old looking and you can hear a pin drop when they are down. Georgia has a good atmosphere when they are winning but UGA must teach a freshman course in how to get out of a stadium fast when you go down in the second half. I've seen 50k leave in less than 5 minutes there. No game will ever compare to Auburn vs. Alabama atmosphere in 1989 but circumstances don't come around like that too often. I'd like to check out ND, Mich, OSU, Penn St, Nebraska, Oregon and Wisconsin just to see how they stack up to SEC crowds. I hear Southern Cal and Miami are the worst in major college football which is surprising since they have fielded a lot of good teams over the years. Guess those are "pro" towns.

I have only been to 2 college football stadiums the OB and dolphins stadium. The OB was on another level. I've been in town at UF and USC during a game drinking which gave me some insite on how game day in a college town goes and I loved it. I would not like it here but I loved it there.

I guess you are talking history on the teams, because legion field in Birmingham is where bama played their big games. Only 3-4 a year at Bryant Denny
