No actually the BCS was contracted through 2013, so at best it had to start in 14.

So what? That's the free market at work. If you want to have the championship at your venue, all you have to do is bid higher...

spot on!

They need to just go ahead and take my suggestion. 16 team playoff. You already have someone bitching about this on this thread. If the best team is not in the top 16 then hell, I don't know what to suggest.

10 game season. Then the Conference championship games can be played along with some of the great bowls like the mashed potato bowl and the Jolly Green Giant Green Bean Bowl for the schools that didn't make it to the so called dance.

Two weeks of games, 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15 etc. NO east west south north division crap. Just set the brackets up as stated 1 vs 16 and so forth. After two rounds another week off. Then the last 4 teams will be playing for the national championship. These could be played by whatever bowl puts up the most money. If Jerry Jones wants to put out 40 million then so be it, its his money.

If Ford wants to put out 100 million then so be it, just hope they make money on it and there stock doesn't tank or the CEO should be fired. If they make money then heck, give him a raise.

HOWEVER, that money they put up goes to the teams conferences. Same as all the other bowls.

There will be a 8 team playoff in the future I'm sure just because of what was posted earlier. What if 5 teams have 1 lose? Who goes? Boise St. who beat all them Div. II schools by 45 or an Big 10 team or SEC team that only won by an avg. of 8 points?

I personally think the 4 team will take the smaller schools out such as Boise St. and Utah if they had to play teams like Alabama and LSU back to back. One would take out 2 starters and lame a couple more. The next week it would be a steam roller for the other big school due to the smaller school not having the depth chart. I would say 6 starters would be put out between the two games.

Another plus, is all this talk about the season being to long. 10 games would sum it up for 85% of the collages and 99.8% would be finished in IN LESS GAMES then are played now. How many games now do most of the NC's play? 14 or 15? The kids from two schools would play the same amount of games but could bring in an extra 100 million for their conferences.

Damn, The weather must be nice and everyone is fishing. Thats good. I was hoping for some comments on my last post. Maybe I should have put in there.......

It doesn't matter, The Auburn, UF and Fl. State fans would complain about how there team should be ranked 16th and get into the dance instead of 17th. Well, not the AUBURN fans. The Tigers would be rank 23rd, IF even in the top 25.
