As a GATOR, I'd give a donation to help replace these trees if they cannot be saved.

There is a difference in a prank and vicious vandalism in my mind.

I'm not comparing fans, I'm comparing the deeds.

By golly, you telling me that Rye grass ain't gonna kill that other grass it was planted on top of? Whew, glad ya'll straightened that out for me...us Bama fans ain't real bright ya know.

In fact, I'm guessing that Bama fan that used that herbicide must've gone to Auburn's AG program, cuz a Bama grad shore wouldn't be that smart.

Rye grass won't kill most southern turf grasses. Golf courses use them to keep things green in the winter. Now the herbicide to kill the rye might kill the dormant grass, but I think somebody said there are herbicides that can target rye but not effect the dormant turf. Or of course they could resod the small area in the spring too.

Is there just 1 tree?

If not how many trees are we talking about here?

I thought it was a lot but you AU fans keep saying "tree"

I'm guessing 20 + pages on this thread

Jim
we use a product called Speed Zone that kills off weeds and leaves grass alone. it would kill the rye off too

80 to 90 degrees kills rye grass on lawns.
