All kidding aside, I hope they catch this guy and throw the book at him.

Didn't graduate from Alabama my mommy and daddy aren't rich. I am actually at 33 years old paying for my own education right now. I don't give a shit about auburn or your trees. I don't expect you to give a damn about Tuscaloosa or the Denny Chimes. Glad to know I have to attend college at a particuar school to become a fan. I do however make a significant donation to the University of Alabama to be a season ticket holder, maybe that counts for something.

Look, I know that all Bama fans don't approve of that and not everyone is that ignorant. But, us planting lowly rye grass on your field that isn't even being currently used fails in comparison to a Bama fan using an illegal herbicide to kill the most famous tree in the state of Alabama. 130 years old doesn't compare to rye grass my friend.

I'm not gonna come down to your level.

And by the way at 20 years old I am putting myself through school at Auburn on student loans.

Showing the true red around your neck. What does seed do to the field that get's re-turfed every year? Absolutely nothing.

I am not condoning these actions, and I am truly embarrassed that a fellow Auburn fan would sink to such a low level. However, I do not think that killing trees is anywhere on the same level. These trees can not be replaced. The grass can and will be rolled up and replaced just like it is every year.

Having rich parents has nothing to do with going to college. They accept all types. Do yourself a favor. Learn to use words more becoming of a 33 year old paying for his education than s*^t or d*#n.

What that guy did is despicable. AU fan or UA fan, it's just wrong.

Furthermore, I have no problem with University of Alabama fans. But the "Bammers", that's a different story.

You all thought the rye grass was so funny and now you're a bunch of "holier than thou's". Some of the grass they killed with that rye grass was over 95 years old and Bear Bryant once pissed there. So there you go...now our grass is just as special as your trees.

Agreed.

My room mate here at Auburn was a born and raised Alabama fan. However we were still best friends all through school. He came to Auburn because he liked the town and area better than the city of Tuscaloosa. He still goes for Alabama and went to every Auburn home game this past season.

First off I never even heard about the whole rye grass deal, and I do not think it's funny at all.

But even then, how does rye grass sead kill other grass? I could be wrong, but would it not just grow right along the other grass?
