Yup, talked to her today. Nice lady. She is interested in PCB levels of the Oriskany and the impact on the fish. I spoke to her. She said that the government knew of higher than normal levels and didn't warn people. She said they targeted Snapper as their test fish. I explained to her that although Snapper are reef fish, they are highly migratory. It would be impossible for her test results to reflect the true levels. I also explained that the fish that are there that are dominant tend to get picked off my fishermen and divers. A whole new group will move in. After we talked she agreed that "between you and me the levels are now below normal." Which is proof that there is nothing to fear but fear itself. She did say that the levels got to 4x the normal levels. They used a few snapper off the Pensacola Bridge Rubble to compare. I explained that wasn't a fair comparison.

She seems like a smart lady. She is a reporter and "Everything is fine." doesn't sell. Carefully what you let her quote you saying.

She called the store today and I got the pleasure of talking to her. I wouldn't call her unless you want your blood pressure to sky rocket! Haha!

She is doing a story that concludes that the sinking of the Oriskany has caused toxic levels of PCB's in our area of the gulf. I talked to her for a few minutes and she asked me questions like:

Did you know levels of PCB's are 5x the safe level in our fish?

Did you know the FWC is testing fish for PCB's?

Has the FWC let everyone know there are toxic levels of PCB's in our fish?

Do I have children? Yes And you let your child eat these toxic fish from the gulf?

She was nice about it she just has a liberal agenda and I don't think she will be quoting me much in her article! Haha!

Yeah, I would call her.

All kinds of people you wouldn't expect come here from google searches or for professional reasons.

I talked to her, really nice lady. First I've heard about the PCB's in snapper at the O. Pretty interesting conversation.

All I need to know (or any one else on this forum should need to know) is that the writes for the Huffington Post. A left wing liberal hack of a "news" organization. I wouldn't give her one second of my time no matter how "nice" she comes across.

I have been on the "Huff & Puff" Huffington Post and posted various comments on articles that they have. For some strange reason, EVERY ONE of my comments are screened and 9 out of 10 are deleted. Honestly I couldn't say "Good Morning World" without it being screened and possibly deleted. If you are not a left wing Obama ass munch, you are not welcomed there...... If she is working for them or writing specifically for them, I can just about guarantee that the article will be one sided, lefty rhetoric BS...... I am sure that some will disagree, but this has been my personal experience with AOHell and the Huff and Puff...........

See, I just did it and this is the results......... Screw em..........
